A 25-year-old telecom software provider was undergoing corporate restructuring and wanted to unify three fragmented legacy products — Augmented Analytics, Revenue Assurance, and Fraud Management — into a single Next Generation Platform. The goal: move from a license-based legacy model to a subscription platform, and modernize the experience for both existing customers and new ones.
I led design on the Augmented Analytics module — the ETL pipeline builder used by data engineers at major telecom operators to move call data records from raw sources into actionable insights.
The existing tool had real users with real problems: engineers were juggling 3–4 disconnected software products to complete a single pipeline, with no system status visibility, scattered functions, and dense legacy terminology that even the company's own product team struggled to explain. Over six months, working with a multidisciplinary team of UX designers, technical experts, and the client's product owners, we built the platform around four design tenets — simplicity, seamlessness, transparency, and collaboration — using a sprint-based agile process and a custom design system that scaled across all 24 modules.
24 modules, ~500 screens delivered as part of the Next Generation Platform redesign. Design system used across all modules to ensure consistency.
