Inspired by the feeling of loneliness and longing during the first Covid lockdown, the experimental documentary „Truth or Dare“ begins. From interviews, that were conducted over a distance unfolds a fragmentary narration by people from different parts of the world who all came to Berlin to find a home and belonging here in the queer sex-positive scene. It’s about the discovery of queer bodies, the need for consent and the struggle for awareness of self-determined sex work.

Maja and Sabrina found two of my existing pieces — Will You Be There and Mrs Love Will Find a Way — already sitting in the edit, and asked if I'd adapt and license them for the film. Will You Be There opens Nicky's interlude; the original ending felt too open against the story of the police raid that follows, so I reworked it toward something quieter, without tipping into anything ominous. Mrs Love Will Find a Way stayed largely intact under Cherry's interlude.
